Fantail Goldfish
Fantail Goldfish
This picture is painted in oil paints on a 12 x 12 canvas with the deep edged sides. This picture was fun to paint. It was one of my own photo's and it was taken at the Knoxville zoo. I was in the butterfly exhibit, had turned around and to my surprise the pond they had in this exhibit was directly behind me. This cute goldfish appeared at the surface of the water looking at me and I began snapping pictures with my camera and enjoyed the results I had gotten with my camera. So I turned my picture into a painting. I really enjoy animals as you can see by the artwork I display. I just love them.

Squirrel
This picture is done in colored pencils. I had started this picture a few years back and finally finished it. This little guy was allot of fun and took allot of short pencil strokes to accomplish the look I needed to make him look furry. I am glad I finished him.

Sam the Cat
This is my first oil painting with an acrylic underlay. I discovered I like painting with oils. It blends better than acrylic paint and its kinder when you make mistakes. You can remove that mistake allot easier than you can acrylic. This is my sisters cat. His name is Sam and as you see he is not camera shy. He is lovable and I believe he thinks he's the man of the house. He's likes to suck on his toes too! You can Look below and see his photo the one I decided to use for my model.
Traverse City Canal
This picture is done in acrylic paints. I reproduced one of my photo's that I had taken in Traverse City, Michigan. It is a canal off of Lake Michigan, there has been a couple things that I had changed do to copy right laws. My daughter and I shared the day, with her showing me around Traverse City where she resides. It was a beautiful day with her and I had a chance to take quite a few pictures that I can paint from. So I hope you enjoy as much as I did. Comments are appreciated.

Daughters Request
This was requested by my daughter, it is a painting she wanted me to do. It is done in acrylic paints. There will be no prints for sale.
Lazy Day
This is my latest pencil drawing done in colored pencil. I like this lion because he was just trying to keep his eyes open when I was taking his picture. I will in the near future redraw him or paint him with his eyes barely open. To purchase a print or card click here
